It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished Deacon Carl Carieri. He was surrounded by the warmth of his friends and family during his final moments. His selfless service, steadfast faith, and unwavering compassion made him an indispensable pillar of the St. Maximilian community. The joy he found in serving others was contagious and his example of a life lived in service to God will continue to inspire us. Join us in celebrating Deacon Carl's life, a testament to faithful service and devotion to the Church. We rejoice in his entrance to our Heavenly Father's house, where he joins the Communion of Saints. Burial of Ashes and Marine Honor Guard services will take place at South Florida VA National Cemetery at a later date. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Please hold the Carieri family in your prayers.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day is an annual day of remembrance observed on October 15 for pregnancy loss and infant death, which includes miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, ectopic pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, and the death of a newborn. Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day serves to promote greater awareness and support for the estimated 1 in 4 individuals and families whose lives are irrevocably altered by the death of their children during pregnancy, at birth, and in infancy. Prayer for a child who has died: Lord of all, we thank you for your work in creation, for nourishing life in the womb, for your love even in death. Thank you for the life of this child [NAME], whom you gave to us and have taken to yourself. Thank you for the arms of your love, embracing both us and [NAME] in your family. Thank you for your presence in our sorrow and your strength as our family grows older. Take our sadness, and fll us with your Spirit to serve you on earth and join your saints in glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
There are crooks posing as pastors or office staff trying to rob you of your hard earned money. Churches are generally vulnerable because we are in the business of helping people. This makes it harder to say 'no' when a scammer poses as a priest asking for help. The majority of victims tend to be elderly who are hesitant to report the crimes. All our requests for donations are made from the pulpit or printed on our church bulletin. A good rule of thumb in scams is that if something doesn’t feel right, it’s probably not. An easy to way to confirm is to call the church and speak with someone who you know works here. Stay alert, God bless.
